Okay, the question must be asked: Do you really need a frickin’ Wiimote to play SimCity? No, really. Check the trailer for SimCity Creator and tell me that trying to use the Wiimote with SimCity won’t make you want to bash your head several times on the coffee table. Honestly!

look at the folks playing this game Jonah, I don’t think they’re marketing the game to us… besides you heard how the CEO of EA is trying to let out a bunch of Wii games they want some of that money!

I don’t think they’re actually playing the game. LOL Besides, those are the kind of people who WON’T buy SimCity Creator. EA’ll end up with another Boom Blox disaster.

Boom Blox was a disaster? I thought it was doing good in sales.
Anyway, game looks nice. Jonah has been against the Wiimote months before the game, so I don’t really pay attention to all his “oh my god, way too much wii remote” whining
They’re using it like a mouse… much like the way I used to play it back on the PC in the 90’s. Nice.

I’m sorry, Derrick. I’ve never used the mouse like that. Ever.
Boom Blox only sold 60,000 titles - then suddenly EA claimed that 450,000 units were sold - to retailers. Even if those were user sales, it’s still a disaster. Sort of why EA announced it would be going multiplatform, even though the game was basically made for the Wiimote.

Regardless if they’re playing it or not, little kids seems to be their target audience, o imagine the difficulty on this game is non-existant as well, just a fancy sandbox. EA isn’t makign this for you Jonah, and for all I know kids who have onyl ever played the Wii won’t have any problems with the control scheme, they dont know anything else….

How much did Boom Blox cost to make? 450k unit sold on a low budget game isn’t so bad, it can’t be *that* much money to create the game.
By that logic, GTA IV was an utter disaster.

How much did Boom Blox cost to make?
That’s the problem, Derrick. Boom Blox cost a small fortune to make. This was “Steven Spielberg’s Big Video Game!”
