Call of Duty 6 Already Scheduled?!

So, the President of Megalithic Games Corporation Activision Blizzard, Bobby Kotick, is already letting people know that the next next Call of Duty will be out next year in 2009? This I don’t understand: you’re suppose to be building anticipation for the next Call of Duty game, World at War, which is set to come out Fall of this year - not moving on to a game that in all likelihood has yet to the the distant shores of an Alpha release. This is a Call of Duty game. Why do you even feel it’s necessary to begin hyping the next next one?! The damn games sell themselves; I’m still playing CoD 4 for crying out loud!
For Infinity Ward’s (the developer of Call of Duty) sake, let’s hope the news of the 6th iteration of the game doesn’t take anything from the release of the 5th!
