A good number of you have been panting over this week’s arcade title which was planned a few weeks ago for today, Bionic Commando Rearmed, including a certain writer who shall remain nameless but will still probably comment his joy below. The other Xbox Live Arcade is a bit of an odd duck: Fable II Pub Games.
The game is basically three casino games with a Fable II theme - the best of which is Fortune’s Tower, in which you basically play something akin to Joker’s Wild, except you’re betting on rows of cards and hoping none of the cards touch the same type of card above it; if it does, you lose, thanks for all your antes. However, there’s no multiplayer, which is a sin for any casino game. On the bright side, if you’ve preordered Fable II, it’s free; otherwise, it’s 800 Microsoft Points, and I can’t see anyone who isn’t buying Fable II getting it (each gold = an XP for your character in Fable 2, and you can win Fable II equipment in tournaments) because if you can’t play against others in a casino game, why bother?
Both games come out August 13 for 800 Microsoft Points ($10).
[Note: The PlayStation 3 version of Bionic will come out on Thursday.]

If the Fall Update was out already, I could buy this now while I’m at work and it’d be downloading on my 360! Guess I have to wait to get home for these! Wait, these don’t release til Weds. That’s okay, I’ve waited years for anything Bionic Commando!
