The winner of the Castle Crashers Contest is Martin Smith, who rhapsodized about Castle Grayskull from the action figure tie-in cartoon we all know and love, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. In fact, we all know that Thundercats ripped off not only the characters, but the castle fortresses, too. If you were a teen in the 1980’s, you were either enthralled by He-Man, or deeply disdainful.
If there was a second prize, it would have gone to William Yarborough for mentioning The Last Unicorn, but he failed to mention King Haggard screaming as the castle crumbled, “THE LAST! I KNEW YOU WERE THE LAST!”
There were many Monty Python and the Holy Grail entries, but they were deeply divided by Camelot, Castle Anthrax and the French Castle. I know it’s based on the movie and not the specific castle, but there were too many good entries. Face it, He-Man was much funnier than MPatHG anyway. Much - see the above video.

What a cool Dad. He totally helped his son win against that other, not as cool kid. I like how in these old commercials, they say the bad things, i.e. “You have to put the castle together.” In a cool voice instead of just really fast.

I just remember those commercials - even at my age, they were like fingernails scraping against a blackboard. I was a 12 year old who wanted to punch that Dad dead in the face.
