Microsoft recently won its claim they made back in June 2007 against Immersion, forcing them to pay Microsoft $20.75 million dollars.
The details of the case are based on a 2003 sublicense agreement the two companies had in which Microsoft was entitled to part of the money that Immersion receives if it won its case against Sony. They of course won their case against Sony in March 2007, and supposedly won $90 million from it. Immersion had already offered to pay $15 million dollars prior to the claim but Microsoft felt the amount was too low and demanded for more money.
At least all the suits are settled now and we consumers can continue to enjoy our rumbling controllers.
