NEW RELEASES: August 31-September 7

The week of Labor Day is the first salvo of the coming Fall season, and features some heavy hitters, highlighted the long-awaited Spore, which finally comes out more than three years after its debut at GDC ‘05, along with its Nintendo DS counterpart Spore Creatures and mobile/iPod version Spore Origins.
The entire week kicks off with the multiplatform Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, itself having been cursed with numerous delays, followed by the following Xbox 360 titles Infinite Undiscovery, Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise, and Warhammer: Battle March. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 also debut FaceBreaker and NFL Head Coach 09.
Not to be outdone, the PC gets the sequel to the popular shooter, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky. It’s all capped off by the multiplatform edition of NHL 2K9.
