Shelf Space: August 31, 2008

Welcome to Shelf Space, a new weekly post outlining the releases for the current week and providing a little bit of commentary here or there.

This week we feature the JRPG Infinite Undiscovery. It is developed by tri-Ace, makers of the Star Ocean and the Valkyrie Profile series. It also marks the release of the first next-gen RPG published by Square Enix.

According to tri-Ace co-founder Yoshiharu Gotanda, this game has ten years worth of ideas that could have only been possible with the power of the 360. Infinite Undiscovery will feature an evolution by putting the player through “situational battles” that will lead to “unknown discoveries” and cause permanent changes to the world.

This two disc adventure could be worth checking out. Hit the jump for more releases.
