King of Fighters ‘98 Coming to Arcade

Preparations for the Tokyo Game Show are underway and they’ve just released the game list in Japanese. As you can imagine it’s already been poured over, ripped apart, analyzed, scrutinized and digested, and things are becoming clear, maybe. According to Silicon Era, King of Fighters ‘98 Ultimate will be coming to Microsoft’s Live Arcade.
This game was recently ported over to the PS2 in Japan and was scheduled to be a boxed release statewide sometime in 2009, but with this announcement one has to wonder if they’ll bother with a costly physical release. Some reporters are speculating that on-line play will be coded into the game which is a reasonable assumption.
I never played this series, so I can’t say much on it, its gotta be better than Clu Clu Land though…
