Earlier this year, in June to be exact, the Independent Games Festival opened its doors for the 2009 IGF competition. Now, the competition doesn’t actually start until March of next year but some studios are already starting to show off the games they’ve submitted to the contest.
One of those indie companies is D-pad Studio, who have a couple of projects going right now. One of them is Owlboy, a beautiful looking 2d platform game. Not much else is known about the game, except that they’re hoping to win at IGF and bring the game to PCs and the Xbox 360 (probably through Xbox Live Arcade.)
The little blurb they’ve released to the press reads, “Go with Otus on a free flying quest into the clouds and discover the secrets of the floating islands while preserving the Owls’ integrity.”
As more indie developers announce their submissions to IGF, we’ll let you know.
(Thanks, Kotaku.)
