That isn’t the only GameCube game coming to the Wii either! It isn’t as great as a new Pikmin, and if you already have the game you can play it on your Wii right now anyway. But, if that isn’t enough and you want a version of Pikmin in which you can use the Wiimote and the minor graphic update you’re in luck as a whole new series of GameCube games with Wiimote controls are coming out. The series called Wii De Asobu Selection translated as “Play on the Wii Selection.”
Right now the series includes: Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, Pikmin, Chibi Robo!, Pikmin 2, Mario Tennis GC, Metroid Prime, and Metroid Prime 2 Dark Echoes. These games aren’t scheduled to start coming out until December this year and into 2009 - in Japan. No word yet on whether this collection will be coming out in the United States, Europe, and else where.
However, if this is what Shigeru Miyamoto meant when he said that Pikmin was returning, this isn’t what we were hoping for, Shiggy.
