RUMOR: EA Wants Epic Games?

Game Guru is rumormongering that Electronic Arts has its eyes set on Epic Games, and in particular, the Unreal 4.0 engine.
Consider the frightening prospect of EA owning the most popular 3D graphic engine and development tool in the known universe. Why own properties like Grand Theft Auto and Civilization when you can cut off competitors from one of the easiest and most flexible gaming engines there is?
Anyway, it’s just a rumor, but a potent and scary rumor at that. Chiefly because it could happen.
