Monday’s Virtual Console Titles: October 6

Once again, we’re a little late with this week’s Virtual Console releases, and this time, there’s two pretty good titles available:
- Mario Golf (N64, 1 - 4 players, 1,000 Points)
- Shining Force II (Sega Genesis, 1 player, 800 Points)
Mario Golf is a typically good Mario-themed sports title that we’ve come to expect for a Nintendo console (well, save the latest Mario Super Sluggers), though it’ll be competing with the GameCube version that will be optimized for the Wii.
Shining Force II, however, is a classic Genesis tactical strategy/RPG title that is quite massive. It harkens back to the day when roleplaying games had lesser tile-based graphics but took almost forever to complete. For $8, Shining Force II packs a lot of game into itself.
