PS3 Left 4 Dead Next Year

Valve’s Head Marketeer, Doug Lombardi, has flatly stated that Valve’s upcoming first person survival horror game, Left 4 Dead, will not be coming to the PlayStation 3 this year.

Lombardi, in an interview with CVG said, “There’s zero chance of it happening this year…It’s something that’s being talked about right now as the game is gaining popularity and looking like it’s going to be a hit.”

Of course it’s going to be a hit - it’s a Valve game! This is interesting to note as in an earlier interview, Gabe Newell co-founder of Valve stated that Valve is re-thinking their PS3 strategy, though probably under orders from Electronic Arts, since Newell’s position had been hostile, and internal EA development of The Orange Box was a disaster, and Valve has stated they would not develop the PS3 port.

(Thanks, PSU.)
