TGS ‘08: Konami Announces 360/PS3 Castlevania

Konami has announced that a new Castlevania game will be coming for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Aside from a brief 10 second clip, nothing else is known about the title.
Konami held a press event for the Castlevania series today in its booth at the Tokyo Game show. The big news to come from the event, as reported by ITmedia, was first word on a new entry in the series for a brand new set of platforms: the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Japanese site ITMedia has some images of the announcement. The site referred to the game as Demon Castle Dracula, which is the original Japanese title for the game. Is this going to be a next-gen remake of the first game?

Well, hopefully if it’s going to be in 3d they can do it right this time! I’m not looking forward to a remake though… The first game is iconic, it’d be like re-making the Godfather…
