CONTEST: Win Bejeweled Twist
We’ve given away The Political Machine, Castle Crashers, and Peggle Nights, among other titles. Well, GameStooge is giving away not one, but two copies of the latest Popcap Games addiction, Bejeweled Twist.
Bejeweled Twist is a fun follow-up to the classic match-3 puzzler, and a true sequel in that it takes the basic gameplay of Bejeweled and mixes in some Hexic and Chuzzle. Instead of swapping gems, you rotate a block of four in a single direction – you try to match 3 or more with only one turn to build your multiplier. However, bombs will appear, and some gems get locked. Pretty soon, you’re up to your neck in chains and bombs, and soon you find yourself trying to prevent disaster while maintaining your multiplier. Matching four or more gems gives you specialized gems, as well as “grey” rocks that burst open in a colorful scoring burst when you successfully break them.
The rule of the contest is simple: comment below and tell us what your favorite gem or precious stone is, and why. Diamonds, rubies, emeralds, aquamarines, garnets, yes, pearls count too.
One entry per IP. The best two entries will receive a coupon code that can be redeemed for a free copy of Bejeweled Twist from Popcap’s site. Non-registered user entries must be moderated, so don’t worry if you don’t see your entry right away. The contest ends November 13, noon EST.

Diamonds. Anything that is best used in a laser, a computer or jewelry is absolutely awesome.

Sapphires.
Definitely my favorite. Sapphires can come in a variety of colors (although my favorite is blue) and different types, like the color change Sapphire and the fascinating Star Sapphire. Sapphires can too be used in many things, like lasers, watch crystals, windows and many many others. Still speaking on Sapphires, they can be found on videogames (Pokemon Sapphire, which is also my favorite), movies, music, characters and even people named after Sapphires.
But why is it my personal favorite? I don’t know exactly why they fascinate me, but maybe because they’re usually blue, like the prettiest blue ever. And one day it’s in my plans to propose my girlfriend with a sapphire ring. Marilyn Monroe was wrong, Sapphires are a girl’s best friend.

Opal was considered a stone that could provide great luck because it was believed to possess all the virtues of each gemstone whose color was represented in the color spectrum of the opal.

Aquamarine,
What other gem gives feelings of happiness when destoying it. This gem is under rated and one of the best around. Being my favorite one of all not just cause it is mostly blue. Remember just there are only two words that are cool an begin with Aqua. The words are Aqua Man and Aquamarine.

Pearl…they are beautiful and perfect from the ocean. They require no modification such as polishing or cutting. They do no harm to earth surface due to strip mining that causes erosion and other pollution. They do not cause people to be placed into slavery or death such as blood diamonds and other gems. They can even be harvested without killing the oyster. By protecting the large oysters due to their capability of producing large and better quality pearls, they are protecting the oysters that reproduce at higher amounts. More oysters generate more filtering in the oceans to rid it of the pollutions we create. Then they turn it to a pearl. Wearing pearls helps rid the world of pollutions and save mankind.

My favorite precious gem is a ruby. Not only is it my birthstone but it’s also my favorite color. I have rubies on almost all of my jewelry. I even found a wedding ring with rubies in it. I’m not sure why I love it so much but I think it’s because when I was very young my dad bought me a ruby ring that I still have to this day.
