The Joker Uncensored in Europe

This is pretty much a slap in the face to North American gamers. The Joker’s fatality in Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe (seen here) was censored by Midway so that you didn’t see the head of his opponent being struck by the fatal bullet. Well, apparently, only US gamers will be having to see the Bowdlerized attack, because Europeans will get the whole undoctored schtick.
“That’s partly true [that the fatality has been edited]… You know, for North America we have a Teen rating, and teen really means 13 and above. Thirteen is pretty young, you have to admit. For Europe we have a 15, 16+ rating – so it’s a bit different.”
When pushed further about whether or not different cuts of the game exist, Lo replied: “I don’t know, maybe! I think you might have to go take a look.”
PlayStation 3 owners will have the option to import that game, since the PS3 is region-free, while Xbox 360 owners will have either stew in silence or demand a patch or update to allow them to be uncensored.
One has to wonder how lame the other fatalities are if the worst is a mere bullet to the brain. Your thoughts?
