Baseball Mogul 2009 #1 PC Baseball Game

Clay Dreslough’s Baseball Mogul 2009 is officially the top selling PC baseball game of 2008, eclipsing Out of the Park Baseball 9 and selling 120,000 units.

Now, while Mogul 2009 is a fine baseball sim, one must painfully notice that the PC sports gaming space is barren if a $20 budget title can lead sales – and with only 120K units. There’s no High Heat Baseball or MVP Baseball on the shelves to compete with it.

And “shelves” is another key word: Mogul is also the only PC baseball game on store shelves, which seems to belie the idea that gaming is headed towards complete digital downloads.

December 15, 2008 – Enlight Interactive announced today that their award-winning product, Baseball Mogul 2009, had topped 120,000 units in sales. According to NPD Research, this figure makes Baseball Mogul 2009 the #1-selling PC baseball game for the third consecutive year.

This year’s version of Baseball Mogul includes all-new in-game Sound Effects, new interactive base-running, a new Start-Up Wizard, a new Depth Chart screen, and updated stats and rosters for the 2008 season.

Baseball Mogul is the first game ever to give the player full control of any baseball franchise from 1901 to 2008, while also adding the strategic option of playing each game pitch-by-pitch.
