Trivial Pursuit Goes Digital

Electronic Arts is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Trivial Pursuit by releasing the game in digital format across multiple platforms including consoles and pogo.com.

The Trivial Pursuit version for the console will allow players to bring the game into their living rooms with several different ways to play the game. There is the original trivia mode where players see how much they know. There is the Facts and Friends mode, where players earn points for guessing whether or not their friends know the answer to the questions. Players can keep track of how well they are doing with custom profiles.

The online version of Trivial Pursuit at Pogo.com, will offer a daily dose of trivia questions for users to challenge themselves with. If players answer the questions correctly, they gain points, which earn pieces to their wedges. Players strive to collect all pie pieces by the end of the week.

Trivial Pursuit is available now at pogo.com and will be released in March for the PlayStation 2 and 3, Nintendo Wii and the Xbox 360. The 360, PS3, and Wii versions will presumably be downloadable games for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and WiiWare.
