Undead Cyclops Boss from The Behemoth on Vimeo.
The fine folks over at the Behemoth have been posting videos of their Art Director, Dan Paladin, creating some of the lively characters we’ve come to love in their brawler, Castle Crashers. The two links below will take you to sped up videos of Dan’s creative process from rough sketches to fully formed characters. While not much of an artist, being able to see one at work, is an amazing process, even when I don’t understand the medium (Adobe, I think.)
To get a small insight into the large process of character development, I highly recommend these two videos, as well as Behemoth’s development blog which is full of interesting tidbits and ideas about game design. Check out the Undead Cyclops Boss (also the video above) and the Frost King.
(Thanks, The Behemoth.)
