Patapon Freezing Problem

We’ve been getting a ton of webhits from gamers seeking answers to an apparent freezing problem on the PlayStation Portable game Patapon.
Doing our own research, some people are having freezing problems with it because they have modded PSPs (shame on you!), but others are having problems like having their screen freeze after installing the latest PSP firmware update.
Are you having problems with Patapon? If so, have you contacted Sony about it?
