TF2 Patch Nerfs Scout Update A Little
Another Team Fortress 2 update has hit, and it undos some of the damage caused by the Scout Update by lessening the damage the Scout does.
To wit, players who are stunned by a Scout now take 50% less damage, and the minimum distance to stun a player with the Sandman has been increased. Basically, Valve took a bat to the Sandman’s power.
It still makes no sense to give the Scout a third ranged weapon, but at least games hopefully won’t be as unmanageable.

I think this is a good omen; Valve’s still listening to the general public and is keeping the interests of game balance and playability at heart. While I completely agreed with viewing the original unlockables as overpowered, I feel as though we were all a little too hasty to criticize Valve. My faith has been restored.

I’m glad to see Valve giving play-balance high priority, but it’s a bit lame to give out an unlockable and halfway retract it… especially for those of us working to kill 50 stunned enemies
