Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness Episode 1 will be half off for the rest of this week! Play with the characters of the comic and struggle against Lovecraftian horrors. With the price cut Microsoft, Penny Arcade, and others nipped in the bud the biggest complaint of the game, its price.
On a personal note, I nominated this game as Adventure Game of the Year for 2008. I did so because adventure games are so rare these days – despite Telltale Games best efforts – that any effort to revitalize the genre should be rewarded. As a bonus, this is actually a good game. work of love by its creators, the characters are lovingly brought to life on your screen, as are some of their more creative inventions like the Fruit Fucker. The game offers a whimsical story and simple, yet fulfilling, RPG gameplay. You really can’t go wrong with this game. An ode to everything that PA loves and much of what we gamers love, Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness Episode 1 is great.
