Realtime Worlds, the developers behind the crime-busting Crackdown game have confirmed that their latest title APB: All Points Bulletin will be exclusively previewed at the E3 Expo this June.
Chris Dye, Community Manager for Realtime Worlds recently commented on an APB fan site:
…yes we WILL be at E3 this year and this will mark the start of lots more news, activities and information coming out about APB: All Points Bulletin
The game has been designed by the original creator of the Grand Theft Auto series and is set to be a massively multiplayer online freeform-combat and driving-based game. Players will be able to walk and wonder as well as drive around an in game city called Metropolis where life is all about money, gaining territory and respect! Choosing which side of the law you choose to play from will vary your gaming experience, as the focus point for the game will be the conflict between law enforcement and criminal gangs in an all out player vs. player combat!
For the first time in a massively multiplayer online game, your playing skill will determine how far your character progresses, but if you’re wondering about combat gear there will also be plenty of customisable weapons, clothes, vehicles and in game music to get your gangland fighting mitts on. Clothing can be customised with user created logos whilst your vehicles can be fined tuned as good as any other racing game, but if that’s not enough to wet your gaming appetite, then it’s worth noting that even your in game music can be customised to your liking. Realtime Worlds have partnered up with a music sharing site last.fm to bring a new system of music sharing whilst driving around in your game vehicles by digitally playing tracks from your MP3 files to your in game car stereo!
The game has been slated for a 2009 release on Xbox 360 and PC, with no exact date confirmed yet, but plenty more information is expected from the developers presence at E3 from June 2-4.
