The original Tropico and it’s sequel were SimCity-like games wherein you had to run your own Banana Republic. There wasn’t much to distinguish it from the dozens of other build a nation games that came out at the same time except for the games “flavor.” The third in the series, Tropico 3, is being developed by Haemimont Games a Belgian developer and published by Kalypso Media (the original was done by PopTop Software and published Gathering of Developers).
