Welcome to the second edition of The Gaming Buzz, bringing you the Top 10 Tweeted Titles in the last week:

- 3. Fight Night Round 4 MultiPlatform 5869
- 4. Second Life PC 5821

Once again the top two titles are World of Warcraft and The Sims 3, although they have swapped positions from last week; the difference between #1 and #2 is a mere few hundred tweets. They also once again crush the #3 position by more than double, but this week it’s the new release Fight Night Round 4 in that spot, as we watch Halo 3 drop to 5th place.
Ghostbusters and Gears of War 2 fall from the top 10 in favor of two new, unreleased/barely released games, Modern Warfare 2 and Battlefield Heroes.
Top UNRELEASED Tweeted Titles:
- 1. Modern Warfare 2 (11/10/09) 3640
- 2. Battlefield Heroes* (10/01/09) 3145

[*Currently in open release in beta]
Modern Warfare 2 is the sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare so it’s not surprising that it’s highly anticipated even though it’s still several months away. Battlefield Heroes is essentially a Flash-based WWII era shooter crossed with Team Fortress 2. Nobody (including Metacritic, having it slated for an October release) expected it to be out now, but there it is, ready for download. It’s not clear if this is a beta or the final game which is why I’m including it in the “unreleased” category. It’s “free” then funded via microtransactions so if you want custom gear or 2x life then be prepared to pay for it.
Aion is the new MMORPG from NCSoft (City of Heroes, Guild Wars) which just began a closed beta yesterday on July 2. Initial screen shots are looking pretty sharp. Following a huge jump in tweets after E3, Project Natal is still being talked about, pretty impressive for something that doesn’t even really have a proper name, game or release date yet. It will be interesting to see how this develops.
