Marvel Vs. Capcom Hits PSN on August 13

PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait two weeks longer than Xbox 360 owners for their Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 fix, as it will hit PlayStation Network on August 13.
There’s no explanation for the delay, though Escapist Magazine posits two:
- Microsoft got a limited time exclusivity. This is somewhat plausible as MvC2 was highlighted in their Summer of Arcade II bonanza
- The PS3 version needs more time to develop. This is a little more plausible as the difficulties in developing for the PS3 are well documented.
Some think it’s just karma for PS3 users getting a demo before release; 360 owners have to wait til release for a trial version. PS3 owners may be getting a store version at GameStop, though it’s probably just be a card with a code to download it.
In the end, everyone gets some MvC2 love, and that’s what it’s all about – getting to play at all.
