Gears 2 DLC Accidentally Released Early At Half Price

Some lucky Gears of War 2 owners have gotten themselves a sneak preview of an upcoming downloadable content pack, and at half-price as well. Microsoft accidentally released the All Fronts Collection for 800 Microsoft points, which is a bundle including the unreleased Dark Corners DLC (which includes seven new multiplayer maps and a new campaign called Road to Ruin) and all previously released Flashback, Combustible and Snowblind map packs. This meaty chunk of downloadable content will be priced at 1600 MSP when it is released on July 28, double what the accidentally release charged.

Microsoft issued a press release:

Earlier this morning, the Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection Game Add-on was briefly made available on Xbox Live for 800 Microsoft Points. The content has since been removed and will launch on Tuesday, July 28th worldwide as planned, together with the Dark Corners Game Add-on. Pricing will remain as originally intended (1600 and 1200 Microsoft Points for All Fronts Collection and Dark Corners, respectively). The small, lucky group of Xbox Live members who were able to download the content during the short window it was available will be able to retain the content for the price at which it was purchased as well as keep all related Achievements. There won’t be any penalties for those who purchased this content early. Think of it as a lucky treat for those with quick reflexes!

Did you managed to snare this “lucky treat”? Let us know.

I actually diddnt manage to snag the Dlc 2 weeks before its release date for half its price… and because of that i’ll never buy it. I would have paid for it… but the fact that people got it cheaper and sooner than me? (F) that… i’ll wait for Gears 3.
