The Sims 3′s First Expansion Announced

Electronic Arts has announced the first expansion for The Sims 3, and it is an unexpected choice: World Adventures.
Players can take their Sims on new journeys to famous real-world inspired destinations around the globe for the first time ever and seek out new adventures. While exploring the landmarks of an exotic city, there is no telling what the Sims will find. From mastering martial arts in Shang Simla, China, discovering rich culture and famous landmarks on a romantic getaway to Champs Les Sims, France or exploring the depths of ancient tombs in Al Simhara, Egypt, players can take their Sims on a journey that will change their Sims’ lives. Players can accept challenges to search for secret treasures, learn new skills and chase down new personal opportunities, meet new Sims with unique personalities, share their culture and bring them home, discover new styles on their travels, and share everything they encounter on their adventures with the world through personal photographs, movies, and stories.
One might have expected an expansion that would expand the game’s scope in a more personal way such as adding pets; this is more reminiscent of the Vacation expansion from The Sims 2. What kind of expansion were you hoping for? Let us know.
The Sims 3 World Adventures will be released November 17, 2009.

This game is so fun i love all the Sims game but this one is the best i just got i DSI and i am hoping that it will come out for that system

I would really like a Pet Expansion for ALOT OF DIFFERENT PETS, Like,
fantasy pets (anime pets, pets in other games),
mythical pets (dragons, ETC, ETC),
and REAL live pets (the kinds of animals on earth).
And also an expansion pack where ALL the sims 2 things (in sims 3 version) Are inside that expansion pack. I would like Sims 3 1000 times more then the sims 2. *sighs*.

I would really really love to have the game expand on a more personal level with pets or weather. Weather in the sims 2 was so awesome. With the random storms and snow. I LOVED the season expansion and I don’t think I’m the only one. I would also love to see a pets expansion, but with better looking pets (lets face it, some of them looked freaky) and more things to DO with your pets like a groomer, vet, pound or maybe they could get fleas, protect your house from robbers, go on a walk with you. I mean, now that the sims don’t have an in game boundary, it just doesn’t look right without dogs and cats running around! I think it would be cool if the pets did more than just…walk around and eat. I know that if weather or pets came out soon, I’d be on of the first to buy it. No matter what the cost.

I’m earnestly waiting for Sims3 Pets. World Adventures is great, but versatile pets would just be so much better. As Faith said walking and eating pets just isn’t enough, it would be fabulous if a sim could become a vet, own a kennel, adopt pets from pounds, take dogs on walks, teach animals tricks, take them swimming etc.

Sims 3 NEED’S a pet’s. The game is fun and all with the expansion’s but what fun is it if all you have are your sims friend’s and your sim? It get’s boring after a while and I leave the game to play Sims 2 Pet’s instead. I think, with pet’s like dog’s, cat’s and bird’s with more of a realistic part added to it, the game will be funner and more addictive to some like it already was when it came out XD. If sims 3 get’s a pet’s then the game can become funner. I think they should add wild animal’s too to add that deer and wolves coming too a more real way since sim’s live near forest’s and maybe horse’s to ride, cow’s to milk, and a zoo or two! That way sims can, and WILL, become a funner game for everyone with that, what’s gonna happen tonight; deer jumping the fence or a stray dog?, way!
