Bethesda may have put the kibosh on Elder Scrolls V, but the rumors of an Elder Scrolls MMO are starting to heat up, as Zenimax has reserved the following URLs:
elderscrollsmmo.com
elderscrollsmmo.net
elderscrollsmmog.com
elderscrollsmmog.net
elderscrollsonline.com
elderscrollsonline.net
theelderscrollsmmo.com
theelderscrollsmmo.net
theelderscrollsmmog.com
theelderscrollsmmog.net
theelderscrollsonline.net
So, instead of The Elder Scrolls V, there may be The Elder Scrolls Online. Question is – how will an Elder Scrolls MMO work? Will you still be able to customize your own class?
Let us know what you think.

This is treason. This is madness. And if if anyone says “No…This is SPARTA!” I will string my bow and let loose an arrow cut from the finest Willow tree in the Forest with a head of silver. Bethesda…has betrayed me…Blasphemy, that the Elder Scrolls should be turned into an MMO! How dare they?! Amin delotha lle! Amin delotha Bethesda!

No, this is Sparta!

This will definately be their greatest mistake. Only Elder Scrolls 5 would do them any good now. With such giants as World of Warcraft already released and SW: The Old Republic or Final Fantasy XIV coming in the future, Bethesda has NO chance to achieve something in the MMO genre. And isn’t a fallout MMO coming too? What the hell are you thinking Bethesda?

Redeye I can actually use a bow to an amazing standard. Well, thats what my old archery teacher used to say. So DON’T anger me. Vodas is right, this will be Bethasdas greatest mistake. TES should never be an MMO. Never. We should protest! Fallout would make a better MMO, more people prefer it because it has guns.

MMORPG. What, RPG isn’t enough? God dammit!

i have been searching for elder scrolls 5 info for a llllllloooooonnnnnnnngggggggg time. and this newest piece to the puzzle has me thinking “wtf?” i agree with the others in that bethesda will get crushed if they tried to enter the MMO market… at this time. and with WOW coming out with another expansion and the many other possibly INTENSE MMORPG’S that will be out soon, it would make elder scrolls 5 look like dust in the wind. i would LIKE a MMO for TES but not for 5, and not in todays market. tomorrow, maybe. but not today.
i give this plan a -9 out of 10. but…
i do love MMORPG’S and currently using a taren druid on WOW, trying to turn it into a B-A tree, but i think i could stand to play a MMORPG for TES. it would be very… interesting. but it needs to be 12 times what TES4 ever was.

But what if you can create your own class?

Nope. Still wouldn’t go for it. Why, I hear you ask? ‘Cus it’d be crap.

I don’t always play RPG’s, but when I do, I prefer Oblivion.
hehe, but moving on, don’t SHIT A BRICK GUYS.
This isn’t TES V, Bethesda will make TES V, this is made by Zenimax, Bethesda gave Zenimax money to make this game, but it isn’t TES V.
I don’t even think the story lines will be similar, and a gurantee they aren’t in the same place. But, judging that Zenimax has supposedly been making this a while, I’d go all in for mid 2010- early 2011 for this one.

This isn’t TES V
It will be made by Bethesda, this isn’t.
There will be a different story line and a different location, not to mention allot more RP elements in TES V.
Sources: Common Sense
Conclusion: The author is an idiot, why would Bethesda get another company to make thier game? Because this isn’t thier game, and they don’t specilize in MMORPG’s, so… they got a company who did, because, this isn’t TES V, its just an MMO for Elder Scrolls, once again, common sense.

F— the police.
And Bethesda if I don’t see TES V.
I love Fallout 3 and Oblivon more than any other game out there. I will just die if the saga doesn’t continue…
Bethesda wouldn’t do it.
Treason for no reason. TESV must live!

Zenimax is the parent company. They wouldn’t be “giving away the series.” I am very curious about how and Elder Scrolls MMO would play out, but I do not think this should cancel any plans for a TES V. Or if they are one in the same, it could be GTA like in the sense that there is a separate, main story line for the game. While at the same time, there is an online MMO available. This would be no new practice to separate main quest from online play (i.e. Halo)

It’d be neat if they did an MMO, but TES5 was announced a couple weeks ago! SKYRIM!!!!! *jizz in my pants*

LOL I want to see what engine they’re using for Skyrim.
