GameStop: Modern Warfare 2 Biggest Preorder Sales Ever

Controversy about the lack of dedicated server support and terrorist massacre levels aren’t stopping people from preordering Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. People have been preordering it wildly on Amazon, and now GameStop is reporting that Modern Warfare 2 is the most preordered game in the gaming retailer’s history.

GameStop told Game Hunters that Infinity Ward’s baby is the most pre-ordered title in the company’s history. Like … ever. GameStop VP Tony Bartel told the site, “As of today, the number of pre-order reservations we’ve taken for the game is the highest for any title we’ve ever sold in our 6,200 store network.”

This is the chief reason there will be no demo – they don’t need one.

Have you preordered Modern Warfare 2, or even are planning to purchase the “Super Elite” Xbox 360 bundle? Let us know.

I originally ordered the Prestige Edition, but got a grip on reality that I will never ever use NVG’s so then ordered the Hardened Edition – it got posted yesterday so I am eager to know if it will be with me today or latest Friday! Was shipped early because we have postal strikes in the UK day before and on launch day…
