2M Xbox Users Hit Live Simultaneously

While PlayStation 3 owners have had issues with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 online multiplayer gaming, Xbox Live users have enjoyed it without a hiccup, as at one point, Live experienced two million users at once, probably due to MW2’s release.

According to a Twitter post made yesterday at around noon US Pacific Time by Major Nelson, Xbox LIVE set a new record of two million people logged into the service concurrently.

Once again, you get what you pay for. Sony owes gamers nothing if they charge nothing, so if you have issues online, you can’t look to them for help – it’s all on Activision and Infinity Ward’s shoulders. I’m sure the publisher and developer are pleased to have to deal with this, instead of working on new content for Modern Warfare 2.
