Fans of Flo can now have fun on Xbox Live Arcade, as the classic Diner Dash makes its debut, as does Gyromancer, Square-Enix’s first original XBLA title, developed alongside Popcap Games.
For those of you who have been living under a rock for the last few years, Diner Dash is a game in which you collect orders and serve them from customers. The happier the customers, the better. Waitress/cafe owner Flo has to juggle taking and completing orders from increasing number of patrons and variety of orders. It’s a game that started a whole new genre of order juggling, from Office Space to Now Boarding. New to the series is online multiplayer, with up to eight competing against each other.
Gyromancer is another puzzle/RPG fusion in the style of Puzzle Quest, except instead of using Bejeweled as its combat puzzle mechanic, it uses… Bejeweled Twist. You can check out the launch trailer after the break.
Diner Dash is 800 MSP ($10 USD), while Gyromancer is 1200 MSP ($15). Both are worthwhile titles, and should be checked out, even if just a trial. Also available today is Peggle Nights, new DLC for Peggle. It only costs 400 MSP ($5), and is just as large as the main game, with three new Achievements worth 50 Gamerscore. If you own Peggle, there’s no reason not to get the expansion. None.
