The Scourge Project Announced For XBLA, Steam

If you’ve been enjoying Shadow Complex, an Xbox Live Arcade title powered by the Unreal Engine resulting in an impressive looking Metroidvania game, another Unreal-powered game will be coming to XBLA and Steam; this time, it’s a third person shooter called The Scourge Project.

The game features five hours of gameplay over four levels (each with different special abilities), nine different weapons and co-op for up to four players. The Scourge Project also offers versus multiplayer for up to sixteen players and includes deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the flag and “Frontier.”

The game sounds at least as meaty as Shadow Complex and Battlefield 1943, and very pretty as well. Whether it comes to PlayStation Network is unclear at this time – we’ll let you know if it’s heading to the PlayStation 3 as well.
