NHL 2K11 “Under Evaluation”

2K Games’s financial woes may lead them to axe one of their long-running series, as NHL 2K11 is “under evaluation”, according to the publisher.
Sports gaming site Pastapadre discovered that 2K Games’ most recent financial report had a very notable omission. While the report listed MLB 2K10 and NBA 2K11 under the company’s upcoming releases, the follow-up to this year’s NHL 2K10 was nowhere to be found.
…When we reached out to 2K Sports, a representative stated “We are currently in the process of evaluating our sports portfolio and have not announced any new NHL titles at this time.”
The position between Electronic Arts’ NHL series and 2K’s have swapped in the last few years. 2K has already dumped College Hoops 2K and NFL 2K, though the latter was due to EA’s exclusive contract with the NFL which has put the company in the midst of an antitrust lawsuit.
