PlayStation 3 Heaviest Console Ever

Move over, original Xbox. The launch PlayStation 3 has surpassed you by a wide (heavy?) margin as the heaviest console ever, reports Escapist Magazine.
Famitsu Weekly has officially named the PS3 – that is, the original PS3 that launched in 2006 – as the heaviest videogame console ever released, clocking in at slightly over 11 lbs (5 kg). This makes the original Xbox seem relatively tiny, weighing in at a mere 8.6 lbs. However, the Xbox is still in second place ahead of the Xbox 360 (7.9 lbs) and the new, lighter PS3 Slim (7.05 lbs).
For those of you wondering, the lightest console ever was the GameBoy Micro, which weighed only 2.82 ounces (80 grams).
