New 360 Controller With “Transforming” D-Pad

Major Nelson has a new post up on his blog today showing the latest in Xbox 360 controller technology.
If you’re one of the folks who prefer the old plus style directional pad, all you have to do is simply twist the existing 360 d-pad and presto! It transforms into one with a plus, as seen in the video.
It goes on sale November 9 for $65 as a part of a Play ‘N Charge Kit bundle. I’m not sure what they were thinking putting the buttons in grey scale. Don’t they know how many games reference the colors on the buttons?
