Phantasy Star Online 2 Bumped to 2012

Sega has announced that Phantasy Star Online 2 has been delayed into 2012. Producer Satoshi Sakai attributes the delay to addressing gameplay issues brought to light by user feedback submitted after the conclusion of this summer’s alpha testing.

Another alpha test will be conducted some time during the first part of next year, with both new and old alpha testers giving the changes the once over.

While the game may be a Japanese exclusive, there is always the chance that a successful MMO will make its way West, just ask Lineage. The game is being developed on Windows.
