Vita Games Bought Digitally Will Be 10% Off

Sony is trying to take more of the sting out of the high price of the PlayStation Vita by offering a 10% discount buying games digitally from PlayStation Network.
According to Game Informer, downloaded games will be less expensive, while a NeoGAF user found Best Buy preorders for the digital versions of Vita games were 10% off. cheaper, with details on the discounts expected “in the very near future.”
The report stemmed from a NeoGAF poster who noticed that Best Buy preorders for the digital edition of PS Vita games were being offered at a discounted rate. Unit 13 and MLB 12: The Show available digitally for $36, down from $40, while Reality Fighters and Little Deviants were $27, down from $30. The premium title, Uncharted: Golden Abyss was listed at $45, down from $50.
Sony confirmed the discount with GameSpot:
“We can confirm that PS Vita games downloaded from the PS Store on PSN will carry a discount. Further details are not being revealed at this time, but please be on the lookout for an announcement in the very near future.”
The PlayStation Vita is due to be released in Western countries on February 22.

Living in Japan, I’ve not seem one vita yet in the wild. Just this morning on the train I saw a few 3DS players, and one psp player. But vitas are nowhere to be found.
I’m not sure if 10% is enough to lure many players over. The whole system seems a little expensive right now.
